How I Got That Shot

Part of being an photographer is constantly learning new things. There is always new editing techniques or new technology to stay up to date with. This post is about new lighting equipment and setup. For the past several years, I've researched different light modifiers and the ones I finally decided on were two strip boxes. These spread the light much taller then a beauty dish or regular soft box. They help to create rim highlight along the arms and hair and also help to make easier cuts for composition. This was the first session I shot using these lights and while testing them out, I added some color too them with two household items. I stuck the purple cellophane over the light and put foil in the background for some texture.

Overall, I can't tell you how much I love these modifiers and I'm so happy with my choice to buy them!
