One of the most common questions I get asked is, "How did you get into photography?" Well funny story, my mentor told me that he couldn't see me having a passion for photography. Little did we both know that at the end of the day, that's all I want to do.
I got my first camera in 2007 and started taking photos of my brother. I would put him in front of random backgrounds and take his picture. That Nikon D40 became my third arm. I don't really remember what my first paid shoot was, but in 2009, I was hired to shoot my first wedding. It was quite the experience.
After that, I was asking more and more people to let me take their photos, whether it was weddings, families, seniors, or events. I came to find out that weddings and events were not what I wanted to shoot. I LOVED working one on one with people and knowing that I could focus all my time on that was exhilerating.
I'm still shooting portraits and families and have found a new passion for self portrait art. I love working in Photoshop and extending my creativity.
If you're interested in being in front of my camera, shoot me an email.
I can't wait to hear from you! ♥
